JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Biomedical Engineering Account Manager
The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of on-site account management and supervision of all service personnel assigned to him/her.  Due to the close daily relationship and interaction with hospital, medical and administrative staff, as well as, vendors and service personnel, the Account Manager is required to demonstrate excellent customer service relations and organizational skills.

BMET I : Biomedical Engineering Technician I

A BMET 1 is usually an entry level position and up to 2 years of practical experience, and is usually assigned responsibility for the general patient care equipment in a Hospital or Ambulatory care facility. The BMET 1 is responsible for all scheduled maintenance activities and corrective service requests assigned to him/her.  Because of the close daily relationship and interaction with the customer facility’s staff, BMET 1’s must have excellent organizational and customer service skills.  Close supervision is provided to ensure service quality is maintained and continued development of the BMET 1’s knowledge and skills are progressing. The BMET 1 is often assigned tasks within facility Medical Equipment Projects and reports directly to the Account Manager or Senior Biomedical Technician assigned to each facility.

BMET II : Biomedical Engineering Technician II

Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) 2 performs and documents preventive maintenance and repair of general and/or specialized medical equipment and systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform required duties. The BMET 2 must demonstrate a working knowledge and use of required test equipment and the electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established Renovo procedures. The BMET 2 must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with Renovo personnel and facility staff in accordance with established operational and personnel policies and procedures.

BMET III : Biomedical Equipment Engineer III

Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) 3 performs and documents preventive maintenance and repair of general, specialized and/or high-tech medical equipment and systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform required duties which may include the maintenance of documentation systems and reporting of information essential to Renovo and facility medical equipment maintenance reporting systems. The BMET 3 must demonstrate excellent knowledge and use of required test equipment and the electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established Renovo procedures. The BMET 3 must demonstrate excellent organizational skills as well as excellent communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with Renovo personnel and facility staff in accordance with established operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Biomedical Specialist (Radiology/Imaging)

A Radiology/Imaging Specialist (RS) performs and documents planned maintenance and repair of medical diagnostic imaging equipment and associated systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform the required duties.  The RS must demonstrate a working knowledge of, and ability to use the required test equipment, and have the electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document planned maintenance and repair of the diagnostic imaging equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established company procedures.  The RS must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with company personnel and Clinical staff in accordance with established Renovo operational and personnel policies and procedures.
